Relaxed Pub Wedding at the Olde Coach House Ashby St Ledgers
I knew from the moment I received Becci’s enquiry that that this wedding was going to be loads of fun and it really didn’t disappoint. Becci and Dean wanted their wedding to have a really relaxed boho feel to the day, where they could spend as much time with their guest and get everyone involved. The Olde Coach House in Ashby-st-Ledgers, was the perfect place for them to be able to do just this. As the pub didn’t have a wedding licence, they did the legal part of the marriage the day before, this way they could have the ceremony exactly how they wanted it. One of their closest friends performed the ceremony under an ancient willow tree in the garden.
Becci & Dean involved their guests in the day by inviting everyone to bake a cake or desert and bring them along to create a ‘bake off’ style desert table. I love this idea and the guests really gave it their all, the table was piled high with brownies, meringues and amazing cakes of all shapes and sizes. After dinner there was a hilarious mini sports day, with fiercely competitive sack races, three legged and wheelbarrow races. Dean and the boys even managed to squeeze a bit of street rugby in.
Becci’s gorgeous dress from Catherine Deane and her dried flower crown, from the Artisan Flower Company, really complimented the whole boho feel to the day and Dean looked very dapper in a check suit from Reiss. Thank you so much for making me feel so welcome all day and for being pretty damn ace bunch of people! Here are some of my favourites from the day.
