Vintage Inspired DIY Curradine Barns Wedding
This vintage inspired DIY Curradine Barns wedding was full of handmade touches that were personal to the Bride and Groom. In my years of being a wedding photographer at Curradine Barns, I’ve noticed that the couples that get married here have something in common. They want their wedding to be full of their personalities and for the day to feel relaxed. They want to be able to chat and laugh with friends and to be able to catch their breath and take it all in. Whilst photography is of huge importance to them, they want to enjoy the day to the max. These are my favourite weddings! Holly & Adam’s wedding was perfect, it was true to them and I loved every minute of it.
Holly’s Mum is hugely talented and designed and made Holly’s wedding dress, the Bridesmaid dresses and also the Groomsmen’s waistcoats!
Getting ready
Holly and the girls all stayed the night before the wedding. Curradine Barns has accommodation, so it’s a great choice if you wanted to do this. When I arrived, Holly, her Mum and Sister were all helping each other get ready and having a great time together. Holly’s two Brother’s popped in to say hello and then I headed off to get some photos of Adam and his Groomsmen before the ceremony.
Curradine Barns Wedding Ceremony
I always think a rustic barn looks really cosy for a Winter Wedding. The candles and twinkling lights on the huge chandelier all add to the romance. Holly walked down the aisle on her Dad’s arm and looked absolutely stunning! As it was a colder time of year, we chose to throw confetti inside.
Candid Photos of Wedding Guests
I like to give you some time after your ceremony, to chat to your guests so I don’t dive straight in to start organising photos. I prefer to give you some time, so that your guests can congratulate you. It not only gives you a bit of a breather but also allows me to get some more natural, candid style photos of your guests enjoying the day.
Curradine Barns Wedding Photos
As a regular wedding photographer at Curradine Barns, I know which locations will look great in your wedding photos and where has the best light at any given time of year. I don’t need to take you away from your guests for very long and just ask that you give me 15-20 minutes during your drinks reception. Holly and Adam had a wander around the grounds and in the lane so that I could capture some gorgeous, relaxed couple portraits for them.
