Mar 18, 2021 | Wedding

If you’ve found your way to my little corner of the internet, you’re probably looking for a barn wedding venue in the West Midlands. As a Birmingham Wedding Photographer, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing at some of the regions  most beautiful venues. Have a look through my guide to the best barn wedding venues in the West Midlands, to help you find your perfect venue. Barns always feel a bit less formal, which suits my relaxed style of wedding photography perfectly. If you’re planning a barn wedding, I’d love to hear from you. In no particular order here’s a little round up of the best wedding barns in the West Midlands.

CURRADINE BARNS

With exposed brick, high ceilings and stylish interior, Curradine Barns, is one of the prettiest rustic Barn wedding venues in the West Midlands. You can get married in the Granary Barn or outside in the beautiful gardens, or even walk with your guests from the church that’s literally next door in the country lane. After you’ve said your ‘I do’s’ you can enjoy drinks with your guests in the pretty courtyard, which at night twinkles with fairy lights and enjoy evening food outside from the Curradine Cantina. It’s surrounded by cornfields, that the sunsets over and beautiful Worcestershire countryside but also has plenty of photo locations if you need to be indoors. I flipping love it here! If you think this might be the venue for you, you can hop over to have a look at a gorgeous featured Curradine Barn Wedding

SHUSTOKE BARN

What an amazing place for a wedding! Definitely one of my favourites! It’s cool, modern and rustic all at the same time. A great barn wedding venue in the West Midlands, near to Birmingham. Surrounded by fields, it has a courtyard of Olive trees for a real mediterranean vibe and when the sun goes down there are fire pits and festoon lights. The light filled ceremony space at this barn wedding venue in Warwickshire, is amazing! Huge timber framed glass doors either side of where you stand to say your vows, let light flood in and there are lots of interesting spots for photos indoors if the weather doesn’t behave. Shustoke Barn is perfect for you, if you’re looking for a laid back, relaxed feel for your wedding, with buckets of style. I’ve photographed tons of weddings here, some of which you can look at on my Shustoke Barn page.

SWALLOWS NEST BARN

Just five minutes from Warwick and set in a valley of private farm land. Swallows Nest Barn, gives you the choice of an indoor or outdoor wedding. If a woodland wedding is your thing, just a stroll through their wildflower meadow will lead you to their woodland ceremony site. The venue is flooded with light, thanks to a modern glass fronted barn and you can have your drinks reception and welcome drinks in the pretty flagstoned courtyard. If the weather takes a turn for the worst, there’s no need to worry here, as there are plenty of covered areas and spaces that are perfect for photos on a rainy day. Depending on the time of year you’re getting married, the landscape changes between lush green fields, golden barley and wild flower meadows. One of the best Barn wedding venues in the West Midlands. You can see their website here

BARNS & YARD

This luxury barn wedding venue is an absolute stunner! Situated at Hanley Hall in Worcestershire. Choose between the oak beamed Threshing Barn or the the light-filled Cartshed, both seat 100 guests. Or you might decide you want an outdoor ceremony – no problem, as you can seat 100 guests in Courtyard. If you’re looking for a Barn wedding venue in Worcestershire, this is going to take some beating. To say I’m excited to shoot here is an understatement!

FOXTAIL BARNS

A contemporary barn wedding venue in Staffordshire, set in woodland and stunning grounds. You have exclusive use and your guests can stay overnight in unique woodland lodges. Your ceremony can take place in the orangery, which will be filled with natural light and just amazing for photos. You can have a look at their website here

LONGBOURN ESTATE BARN

In my humble opinion, this one is the kind of barn wedding venue I dream about! It’s one of the most beautiful barns I’ve ever seen and makes me feel like it could be in the French countryside, rather than in Warwickshire. It’s definitely on my bucket list! The barn is pale stone, with a valued roof, huge wooden doors and flagstone floors. It’s a blank canvas for you to dress yourselves and you’re given four whole days before the wedding to style the venue and create a wedding that is totally yours. You’re even given two days after the wedding, to clear down. Just a short walk across the fields, is the pretty church of Butlers Marston. Imagine having your ceremony here and then leading your guests through the countryside – sounds perfect right? Definitely worth taking a look at their website

PIMHILL BARN

Set in the grounds of the beautiful Lea Hall in Shropshire. Pimhill Barns is another barn wedding venue in the West Midlands, that provides a blank canvas for you to put together a truly unique wedding, with the added bonus that there’s no charge for corkage. This original threshing barn has enormous oak doors and beamed ceilings. The gardens are stunning to walk around while having your couple photos. If you’d like to see some wedding photos I’ve taken at Pimhill Barn, head here.

MYTHE BARN

Just across the border of the West Midlands but one of my favourites so I’m including it. Mythe Barn, is contemporary and stylish! Surrounded by green fields, with pretty gardens and a fantastic outdoor kitchen for your evening reception. Take a look at their website here

THE ASHES BARN

This is as picturesque as they come. A collection of stone barns set in 50 acres of Staffordshire countryside. Set at the end of a tree lined driveway, that meanders through wheat fields. There’s a lake, an apple orchard and pretty courtyards. The barns themselves are simply stunning. It’s a photographers heaven, I love shooting here! COTON HOUSE FARM

Located just outside Lichfield, in the Staffordshire village of Whittington, is Coton House Farm. A pretty barn wedding venue that offers both outdoor and indoor civil ceremonies. If you love the idea of an outdoor ceremony, this venue is picture perfect. Walk through a floral arched walkway to a Pergola, where you can say ‘I do’ surround by peaceful countryside. If you prefer the idea of an indoor ceremony, then the 18th century Old Dairy Barn, with its flagstone floors and rustic beams is really lovely. Coton House Farm is just a short stroll from St Giles Church, in Whittington Village, which is perfect if you’re looking for a more traditional ceremony at church.

So there you have it! Some amazing barn wedding venues in the West Midlands that you should definitely be checking out, if you’re planning a laid back wedding and love the relaxed vibe a barn wedding venue gives. I’d love to hear from you and don’t forget I’m happy to travel!
