When I first chatted to Bride to be Becs, over zoom, I felt like we could’ve chatted forever. She was just so happy to be getting married to Cam and excited to have all of their friends and family in one place to celebrate with them. Her happiness was so infectious that I really couldn’t wait to photograph their big day! It was also going to be my first time as a Cider Mill Barns Wedding Photographer. I’d been wanting to photograph a wedding here for the longest time, as whenever I’d previously had an enquiry, I wasn’t available, so this time it felt like everything had aligned.

Bridal Preparations at Home

When I arrived at Bec’s parents family home in the village of Welford on Avon, the house was a hive of activity. The girls definitely bought the energy! The tunes were cranked up, there was kitchen dancing and lots of laugher. It was the best atmosphere, I loved it!

Wedding Ceremony at St Peter’s Church, Welford on Avon

Bec & Cam’s wedding ceremony was at their local church, St Peter’s, in the village of Welford on Avon. It was so close that Bec’s Mum and the Bridesmaids, decided to walk there. I ran ahead of them (literally) and captured their excitement as they walked through the village. I’m not particularly traditional but I do love a church wedding, especially when the church it’s somewhere that the family have formed a real connection with over the years.

About Cider Mill Barns Wedding Venue

After I’d taken a few family group photos at Church, we headed off for the wedding venue. Cider Mill Barns is set in picturesque Warwickshire countryside, just four miles from Stratford Upon Avon. If you’re looking for a luxury wedding barn it should definitely be high on your list to check out! You’re spoilt for choice with both inside and outside locations for your ceremony. There’s accommodation on site and the wedding breakfast room, is gorgeous! With its exposed beams and large windows, which makes it a lovely, light filled space. I can’t wait to go back!

Wedding Photography at Cider Mill Barns

It was the first time I’ve had the pleasure of working as a Cider Mill Barns Wedding Photographer and I was really impressed with the variety of stunning locations for photography. The wooden archways are a recurring theme across the venue. They form a striking entrance to the venue and also feature in the orchard, in front of the Summer house, where you can have an outdoor ceremony. Whilst the guests were enjoying drinks and canapés I took Bec and Cam away for just 10-15 minutes to captures some relaxed, romantic couple photos.

The Speeches

After lots of canapés and plenty of drinks, everyone made their way into the barn for the Wedding Breakfast and the speeches. The Speeches are one of my favourite parts of the day as there’s always lots of funny stories and laughter, so I can capture some lovely candid photos.

Cider Mill Barn Wedding Photos

After dinner, there’s always a bit of down time, before the party starts. I used just 15 minutes during this time, to go for another little walk with Bec and Cam and get some relaxed photos at golden hour. Golden hour is my absolute favourite light to shoot. I’ll always have a chat with you when we’re planning your timeline and photography, to see if you’d like to grab some golden hour couple portraits and work it into the day. We were so lucky with the light and were treated to the most amazing sunset at Cider Mill Barn.Just married couple hold hands and walk with glasses of champagne.
