I’ve recently been enjoying looking back at this family photoshoot in Sutton Coldfield last year. It felt great to be back out there photographing families laughing and having fun together. I’m going to be sharing more of my family shoots over the next few months to give you some inspiration for your own family photography.

Family Photography in Sutton Coldfield

As I’m based in Sutton Coldfield, a lot of my family photoshoots are in Sutton Park. I know it really well and can suggest lots of different locations within the park. It has so many different backgrounds depending on the time of year and it’s just a 15-20 minute drive from Birmingham. If you’re really lucky you might even get to see the wild Sutton Park Ponies!

Sutton Coldfield Outdoor Family Photo Shoot

I love to photograph families having fun together in an outdoor location. Children seem to relax much more quickly than when they’re in a studio setting, so having a family photoshoot outdoors means you’ll get some really lovely natural photos of your children. My family photo shoots are very relaxed. I like to use fun games and prompts for the children, so that they forget they’re being photographed. It really helps to get those natural expressions.
