Glamorous Tipi Wedding Lichfield

The day started at Harriet’s Mum’s beautiful apartment in Lichfield, bustling with bridesmaids and the sound of laughter. Harriet, known to her friends as ‘Harry’ stepped into the room in her stunning Claire Pettibone dress to gasps and tears from the girls, she looked absolutely stunning. I left the girls and walked the short distance to Harry & Jonny’s apartment to accompany Jonny and the boys to the pub for a few whiskey’s (them not me), before heading to church. Jonny and his Groomsmen skateboarded to church – I know! Surfing, Skateboarding and Snowboarding are a big part of Jonny & Harry’s life, so it was a really fitting mode of transport. After a beautiful ceremony at Christchurch, the guests travelled to The Cathedral School, a beautiful building set in the grounds of Lichfield Cathedral.

Harry & Jonny’s wedding was a perfect mix of English tradition and glamorous boho styling. Wedding planner, Julie Dawson, Ava Event Styling & Little A Flowers, worked their magic transforming the tipi’s with soft neutrals and metallics, with hanging Morrocan lanterns and beautiful foliage. I absolutely loved the DIY lightbulb ‘Love’ sign and coned doily backdrop made by Harry’s talented Brother and Mum. I really couldn’t have asked for a nicer group of people to spend the day with, Harry & Jonny are such warm, genuine people, it was an absolute pleasure to be there.
