Hampton Manor Secret Garden Wedding

What could be more romantic than a Hampton Manor secret garden wedding? Jessi and Jamie both love the book ‘The Secret Garden’ and loved the idea of an English afternoon tea. These were cleverly incorporated into their day, by Karen at Passion for Flowers. Karen worked her magic with books, moss, ferns and roses which gave the room a real enchanted feel. Ben the Cake Man, created their spectacular cake. Anyone who knows me, knows I’m a dog lover, so I did a happy dance when I heard that their dog, Oreo, would be joining in the photos. He looked very smart in his tweed waistcoat.

Jamie is in the army in England, Jessi lived in Florida. Their story began when Jamie walked into the bar that Jessi was in, on a girlfriends hen night. As they say, right place, right time! After months of Skyping and transatlantic visits, they realised they couldn’t be apart. Jamie proposed, Jessi moved to the UK and wedding plans began.

The Ceremony

Jessie walked down the aisle on the arm of her Dad, who had flown all the way from America, for this proud moment. Their ceremony was full of love and laughter! Even their dog Oreo got in on the action and escorted them back down the aisle as newlyweds. After some vigorous confetti throwing, everyone relaxed on the terrace and enjoyed some canapés.

The Speeches

Just as Jessi’s Dad began his speech, he was interrupted by the best surprise ever! Jessi is a big Musical Theatre fan, Les Miserables being her favourite. Without her knowing Jamie and organised a local amateur dramatics society to interrupt the speeches and begin a performance of some of her favourite songs, her reaction was incredible! I don’t think there was a dry eye in the place.
