Rustic Wedding at Shustoke Barn
This Rustic wedding at Shustoke Barn, transported me back to Summer days in Provence! With their love of France and Stéphane’s French heritage, they added so many gorgeous, personal touches to their day. Sophie got ready at home, with her Mum and Bridesmaids. As soon as I arrived, I instantly felt welcome. The girls were so friendly and excited to be sharing Sophie’s big day and great fun to be around. With the Prosecco flowing and a great playlist, it was the perfect ‘getting ready’ atmosphere!
Once Sophie and the girls were ready. I headed off for Shustoke Barn, to meet Stéphane and the boys. They all looked super sharp in their blue tweed suits, with floral bow ties.
Ceremony photos at Shustoke Barn
I love how much light floods into Shustoke Barn, through the huge oak framed, glass doors. It’s also a great space to use for your couple photos, if you get wet weather on your wedding day.
Confetti Time
The team at Shustoke Barn wedding venue are brilliant and make sure everything on the day runs like clockwork, even helping get your guests into position for the confetti throwing. When you walk out of your ceremony, you’ll enjoy a few moments to yourselves and a celebratory glass of fizz. Everyone gets into position ready for your big exit. I love confetti! Confetti photos are always some of my favourites! Remember, if you’re having confetti, when you think you’ve got enough, get some more! You can never have too much, it will make a great photo.
Sophie included a large Sunflower in her bouquet, as Stéphane proposed in a field of Sunflowers in France – how romantic! All of the stunning flowers were supplied by The Garden Rose, near Hinckley.
Couple Portraits
One of the great things about wedding photography at Shustoke Barn, is that everything is close by. I don’t need to take you away from your guests for more than 15 minutes during your drinks reception, as there are so many great photo locations close to the barn. The driveway is always a great spot, especially later in the day and the courtyard, with it’s ancient olive trees, feels quite mediterranean, especially in the late afternoon sunshine. It was the perfect setting for this romantic, rustic wedding at Shustoke Barn
I absolutely love these multiway wrap dresses, worn by Sophie’s Bridesmaids! There are so many different ways you can wear them, they suit everyone and they come in so many colours. These ones were from Kates Dresses, in Birmingham.
Rustic French Styling with Lavender and country flowers
Sophie & Stephane styled everything themselves and sourced these beautiful blue window shutters, that they used for their gin themed seating plan. The wine crates and Lavender, along with maps of road trips they’d taken in France, continued their pretty, French rustic style. Stephane made the wooden sign that welcomed guests to their wedding.
Golden hour couple portraits at Shustoke Barn
After dinner, just as the sun starts to cast it’s gorgeous golden glow over everything. I like to sneak away with you for just 10 minutes and take some romantic couple portraits. These are always really relaxed and I promise your guests won’t even notice you’re gone!
