Wedding at Hope Street Hotel & Siren Liverpool
Amy & Dylan chose the fashionable Hope Street Hotel and Siren in Liverpool for their wedding. I’d seen some other wedding photography at Hope Street Hotel and Siren before, so I was excited that they’d chosen really stylish venues.
I decided to travel up to Liverpool the day before and make the most of having a free day to enjoy the city. As well as a bit of sightseeing, I had a look around Hope Street and Siren and loved both locations. The surrounding streets had some perfect spots to take couple portraits.
On the morning of the wedding I headed up to see Amy and her Bridesmaids. My second shooter for the day and good friend, Lisa Carpenter, met Dylan and his two best men to get some photos before the ceremony. I loved Dylan’s Mark Darcy suit, very dapper!
Amy and Dylan are my favourite kind of people; laid back, chatty and lots of fun. It was such a lovely, relaxed atmosphere, with lots of laughter and plenty of Prosecco and beers flowing. I loved that I got to see some familiar faces too. Their friends Ollie & Jess were guests, whos’s wedding I photographed at Iscoyd Park, a few years previously.
Before long Amy was ready to get into her stunning Pronovias wedding dress. She looked amazing and totally rocked that red lipstick!
A First Look for the Bride and Groom before the ceremony
As Amy and Dylan were going to walk each other down the aisle, Dylan came to see Amy in her room, before their ceremony, so they could take a moment to see each other. This ‘first look’ it was so emotional and a real privilege to photograph. I think it’s safe to say Amy took Dylan’s breath away!
I love how much natural light floods into the ceremony room at Hope Street Hotel, it’s such a gorgeous modern wedding venue.
Roof Terrace Wedding Photos at Hope Street Hotel
Hope Street Hotel has a two awesome roof terraces, that look out onto the roof tops of Liverpool. There’s a smaller terrace off the ceremony room and a larger one, on the opposite side of the hotel. While their guests enjoyed some drinks on the one terrace, Amy & Dylan enjoyed a few moments together on the larger roof terrace. Before long they were back with their guests, enjoying their drinks and celebrating with their friends and families.
After an informal drinks reception, we all made our way to the Baltic quarter, to their second venue, Siren. Amy & Dylan served their guests ice cream and strawberries instead of typical canapés, which was perfect for such a scorching hot day.
Couple portraits in the Baltic Quarter
After dinner and the speeches, that were both emotional and hilarious in equal measures, we had a wander around the streets close to Siren and took some couple photos in the Baltic Quarter.
As it was such a hot day, Amy and Dylan had their first dance outside , which suited the relaxed vibe of the day, perfectly.
